Energy From The Sun

       In my class, Fuel, we are studying energy. We have studied various types of energies and how they transform into other types of energy.  For example, we have studied how mechanical energy can be converted into electrical energy. We have also studied the physics of energy such as the potential and kinetic energy of a rollercoaster. I learned how raw materials such as coal follow a process that eventually creates electricity for our homes. In addition, we have been focusing on renewable resources. I also learned how functions are created and how I can find the break-even point of a resource investment. For this action project, I was told to create an infomercial to convince a business to switch to a renewable resource. I had to research a renewable resource of my choice, which I chose solar energy. I had to take all of this information and put it into a short 2-3 minute presentation. I found this part of the project to be a bit of a challenge as I sometimes have a hard time communicating my thoughts clearly.  Also, I have to convince the audience that this resource is worth switching to, which put a small amount of pressure on me. Ultimately, I was able to accomplish this task successfully and I think that my presentation looks nice.
