Almonds
In my new class, Food for Thought, we learned about the cultivation and domestication of food. The history extended far beyond what I would have ever thought. We also learned about the history of agriculture and how it has evolved. In this class, I was able to learn more about my family's food habits and the history of the food I eat. For this action project, I was assigned to create an autobiography of a crop of my choice, in the first person perspective. I chose almonds. In the process, I found where almonds originated from and how they migrated to California. I also found that almonds are the 7th largest U.S food export. One challenge that I f
aced was my struggle to put my presentation together. I find myself having to meticulously put a project together so it did take time. Overall, I am proud of how my presentation turned out.
