The Two Dimensions
In Unit 1, of my Stories class, we learned about many literary concepts. We studied how figurative language impacts writing and the importance of it. I was also able to apply figurative language to my own writing. We learned about similes, metaphors, irony, adjectives, and adverbs. In addition, we had to describe setting's using figurative languages such as similes and metaphors. Throughout the course, we had to read several stories that included works by Borge and several etiologies. Etiologies are creation myths. These works allowed us to understand how simile's, metaphors, irony, adjectives, and adverbs are used in writing. This greatly benefited me in my action project. For my action project, I was tasked write my own etiology. My etiology had to be written with many aspects of figurative languages so that it could be entertaining and clear for the reader. I found that utilizing specific words to create a very detailed imaginary world to be the most challenging aspect of my project. I would describe that my most successful part of my project would be my ability to describe characteristics that can be related to in the real world. In addition, I feel that my illustration was another successful aspect of my project as well. I hope you enjoy my project!
